Separation of terminals and data to ensure information security
Terminals are separated from enterprise data and desktop data is stored and processed in background. Only images are transmitted to terminals. Thus there is no risk of data leakage. Remote access can be granted according to actual needs. Server background authenticates user identification through USB Key, user fingerprint, and user password.
Low power consumption to lower customer TCO
Low power-consumption and low-noise thin clients are used as terminals to solve the problems of temperature and noises and to cut power expenditure. Thin clients and desktop operating systems do not need to be maintained. The foreground and traditional IT infrastructure are separated to simplify IT management and to lower operation costs.

Firstly proposed the green energy idea: Based on the dynamic resource load balance solution and energy-saving solution, virtual machines are deployed reasonably on physical machines. During off-peak hours, most virtual machines can be turned off to reduce power consumption and to achieve green data centers.
Firstly achieved online upgrade function: Users can upgrade the software version manually or automatically through the cloud platform software version center.
Only company which provides self-adaptive software deployment: The desktop cloud system can monitor the status of each node, add or delete nodes according to predefined strategies, and automatically install, start, and close service software. Only a few configuration steps are needed to assign resources to new services, thus facilitating the new service launch.

ZTE, as one of the earliest companies that started the R&D of the desktop cloud technology, has abundant technological accumulations and rich desktop cloud project implementation experiences.
ZTE take an active part in the formulation of national & international desktop cloud standards. In 2005, ZTE started the development of servers, disk arrays, and blade servers to provide hardware support for cloud hardware resource pools. In 2007, ZTE started to research the file system (ZXFS), which was used in the IPTV system at the same year. In 2008, self-developed ATCA blade servers were used in the international value-added service products. The virtualization and distribution technology was also started at the same year. In 2009, ZTE firstly proposed the “implementable” service cloud solution and put it into use in the construction of operator cloud storage, multi-service cloud dispatching, and internal resource pools. In 2010, ZTE registered the brand “CoCloud” for its desktop cloud products.
ZTE constructed China Mobile MM WAP cloud storage pilot project, Chongqing Mobile call center project, and Jilin Mobile SM cloud center project. Its desktop products were used in the French SFR, internal IT system, Unicom WoStore, Telecom PaaS cloud, and Telecom IPTV projects. Application Cases in the Enterprise and Operator Markets
Nanjing EETC enterprise cloud desktop cloud in 2011: The project used ZTE self-developed hardware, virtual desktop software, and thin clients and serves over 100 internal users.


Shenzhen Guangtai Enterprise desktop cloud in 2011: ZTE integrated the virtual desktop system into the existing IT system and were in charge of the O&M and knowledge base construction. The system serves 120 internal users.


Shenzhen Zhongfu Enterprise desktop cloud in 2011: ZTE integrated the virtual desktop system into the existing IT system and were in charge of the O&M and knowledge base construction. The system serves 760 internal users.


Anhui Enelco cloud desktop cloud in 2011: The project uses ZTE self-developed hardware, virtual desktop software, and thin clients and serves internal users.


ZTE global desktop cloud center in 2011: ZTE constructed an internal global desktop cloud center, which provides services of IT application cloud (HR, finance, IT, and training), call center cloud (e-trip and finance), and virtual desktop cloud (which can serve 20000 employees and which is now being used by 12000 employees). 


Guangxi Unicom desktop cloud project in 2011: The desktop cloud system and thin clients are used in offices and customer service centers. Guangxi Unicom will build an international data channel base for ASEAN courtiers.


Beijing Unicom outsourcing call center project in 2011: In this project, self-developed call center software is used to support the out of band voice solution.


Guangdong Unicom virtual desktop project: In the project, Guangdong Unicom tested functions of ZTE self-developed virtual desktop software to see if they are suitable for office use.


Chongqing Mobile agriculture network call center desktop cloud project in 2011: Desktop cloud products were used in Chongqing Mobile agriculture network call centers.


Jiangsu Mobile virtual desktop application case in 2011: After the project, office PCs are managed in uniform and all data is stored in the background to lower data leakage risks and to ensure service continuity. The SBC is constructed for remote customer service centers, office systems, CC agents, and the network management center.


In 2012, ZTE constructed cloud storage nodes in the China Telecom cloud storage resource pool node construction project.
